Torch,Jump Start,Mini Air Compressor-Page High Schoolers Get Jump Start On Careers

        Greensboro, NC -- Local students are getting hands-on training for their future Torch careers.

        They're part of the Electrical Trades Program at Page High School in Greensboro. Wednesday, Jump Start students got a chance to work on wiring and electrical design projects.

        After two course levels Mini Air Compressor they can get certified which puts them one step closer to a job.

        "[It's] a trade that we know is high skill, high wage, high demand, and the demand for careers in this area is only going to increase as we take a look at energy and the consumption of energy in the future," said Judy Harrington with the high school.

        The students will have a career exploration fair Thursday at the Greensboro Coliseum from 4:00-7:30 pm.

        Dozens of local businesses will be on hand to talk about skills needed for specific jobs.
