Pine Township fire department received LED Work Lighta grant, but it is not for the construction of a new hall that is Spot lightsorely needed.
The department will receive $32,790 Mini Air Compressorthrough the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Federal Management Agency, Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper announced on Wednesday. The funding will be used for the purchase of an air compressor unit so firefighters can fill oxygen tanks at the station, said assistant chief Bill Cloak.
Firefighters do not have such a unit available in their station, he said.
"We have to take our air bottles to Distant or Rayburn or somewhere like that," he said.
