Heavy Duty Air Pump,gas air compressors-Hospital installs new medical air compressor

        Two operating theatres were closed and five intensive care patients had to be Heavy Duty Air Pump transferred to other hospitals when the medical air compressor at Shoalhaven Hospital stopped working gas air compressors last month.

        The breakdown damaged two ventilators and non-urgent surgery had to be Led trouble light cancelled.

        For the past six weeks the hospital has been using an on-loan compressor. The South Eastern Sydney Illawarra Area Health Service says a brand new compressor has now been installed and is now up and running.

        Hospital staff told the ABC there had been serious problems with the original compressor for at least a year but the health service has denied knowledge of ongoing concerns about the machine.
